Fleet Choral Society informal rehearsal October 2010

Fleet Choral Society rehearsal - October 2010

Fleet Choral Society was formed in 1967. We are an informal and friendly group, with over 100 members at present. We perform a wide variety of religious and secular works. We are very pleased to be one of the successful applicants for the BBC Performing Arts Fund – Choral Ambition Scheme.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at All Saints Junior School, Leawood Road, Fleet, GU51 5AJ, from 8pm – 10pm with a short break for refreshment. We take a break for the summer from early July until the beginning of September. We perform three concerts per year, with professional soloists and orchestra; our main concerts are in May and October with a Carol Concert at Christmas. Our Music Director is Gwyn Parry-Jones.

We welcome new members – no audition is necessary. You'd be very welcome to come along to one of our rehearsals to see how you get on, though currently the choir has a full soprano section. If you are a soprano  and would still like to attend please contact our chairman first. We are particularly keen to welcome new men, especially tenors. If you think this might be for you - or someone you know - please phone our Chairman on 01252 816422 for more details.

Our next performances will be our May Concert
with All Saints Junior School Choir

Fleet Choral Society is a registered charity and is a member of Making Music, the National Federation of Music Societies.
